The Mr KwaZulu-Natal pageant is running for the fifth year and is a programme aimed at giving the youth the opportunity to encourage and empower those around them.
The ambassador also makes the dreams of those they are serving come true. Alick on the other hand has fulfilled both purposes very well.
The Tongaat born and bred resident has been involved in many community projects that have been for the relief and welfare of others.
Young Alick has been of assistance in the Tongaat Soup Kitchen by donating food and helping to prepare it. “Jay Maistry and I have been working hand in hand to feed the homeless and those in need,” he said.
Alick is also passionate about senior citizens. He hosted a health and fitness programme for the senior citizens in his area.

“I also try to make time to help the elderly whenever possible, by visiting the senior citizen’s day care centre and giving them motivational talks to remind them of how special they are,” Alick said.
The crowning of the Mr KwaZulu-Natal ambassador will take place on Saturday, October 20.
