The Interact Club of Greenbury Secondary School is passionate about saving the environment after embarking on its first beach clean-up campaign, recently.
The club, which is mentored by the Rotary Club of Phoenix, has been in existence since 2010. During the latest project, pupils displayed great enthusiasm and teamwork.
They were determined to fulfil their social responsibility despite the inclement weather conditions. The Interact members came prepared with disposable gloves and refuse packets to clean up the Umhloti beach areas.
They were supported by the Rotary Club of Phoenix, teachers and family members who were proud to be associated with such selfless individuals.
