Reading festival success for Esselen Heights Primary

Mrs S Gungaloo alongside the pupils of Esselen Heights Primary.

It was a giant leap to first position as Esselen Heights Primary School scooped the coveted prize in the dramatisation category (senior/ intermediate phase) of the reading festival finals, held recently.

The judges were bowled over by their rendition of Roald Dahls’ James and the Giant Peach. These talented pupils were trained by teacher, Mrs S Gungaloo, assisted by Jody Kistan.

Proud principal, Mr V Naidoo, praised his pupils efforts.

He also commended the efforts of the reading festival committee, Mrs Thangaveloo, Mrs Bisnath and their team, for the sterling job they are doing in promoting reading in schools.
