The Phoenix SAPS made yet another drug arrest when they nabbed a 23-year-old man for possession of 33 capsules of heroin, during crime prevention duties in Stanmore, recently.
The Crime Prevention Unit were conducting duties in the Kylemore area and during observations, they noticed a suspicious man.

Police officers stopped and subsequently searched him. The 23-year-old was placed under arrest and then detained at the Phoenix police cells for possession of heroin. He appeared in Verulam Magistrate’s Court.
Communications officer of Phoenix SAPS, Cpt Louise Naidoo said, “Our officers are to be commended for their hard work in the fight against drugs. Heroin destroys lives. The more of it we can get off the streets, the better.”
