Redfern Primary School held a prefect induction, recently, whereby 58 pupils took the oath to serve the school within the norms and standards of good leadership, honesty, good conduct. The school also inducted a head boy, head girl, two deputy head girls and two deputy head boys.
Principal, Mr R Singh said, “I am very proud of our prefects and teachers, who always go the extra mile to instill discipline and moral values in every youngster.”
According to Mr Singh, the prefects whom are appointed always conduct themselves with great respect towards their fellow pupils and espouse outstanding leadership in the process.

“We have a huge population of pupils and together with my team of committed teachers and the SGB, we always do our best to ensure that every pupil excels,” added Singh.
DLC leader, Cllr Patrick Pillay said, “I am very impressed with Redfern Primary School for the exceptionally high standard of education and activities despite their financial challenges in terms of the low government subsidy.”
He added, “Although there are over 1000 pupils in the school, the teachers together with the SGB are doing exceptional work. I addressed the pupils on good leadership, the responsibilities and sacrifices that go with their tasks ahead.”
