Donate blood and have fun at Foresthaven blood drive

The community is invited to be part of the next blood drive at Foresthaven Secondary School on Saturday, April 21.

“We can achieve our target only with your help and assistance. We appeal to each and every one of you. The reward of saving lives by blood donation is priceless, knowing that a single gesture of not more than 20 minutes can create a million smiles,” said Rina Pillay of the SANBS.

The blood drive will be held from 8am to 4pm. Transport to surrounding areas can be arranged. Residents are urged to bring their ID along.

The SANBS will also be featuring gifts of appreciation to donors and additional prizes can also be won. Apart from those awesome giveaways, patrons will also be treated to music, refreshments and lunch.

The blood camp team challenges all sporting clubs in Phoenix as the club that has the highest donors will win a prize. For children, there will be a jumping castle, face painting and party packs.

Donors are advised to start building up on their iron levels and maintain a healthy lifestyle. For more information, call 083-988-5733.
