Woodview residents have been urged to be on high alert following numerous house robberies and break-ins in the area, which have left many in a state of fear.
In the most recent incident, six suspects are wanted for a home invasion. According to the Woodview Community Police Forum (WCPF), six armed robbers derailed the main gate while a getaway vehicle had been parked outside.
The suspects tied up the owner and his son after after they ransacked the house for digital items. The WCPF said, “The suspects were using masks and were difficult to identify.”
Another house robbery occurred in Ringwood between 8:10pm and 8:20pm. The house was broken into while valuables and other items were taken.
The residents were not at home when three unknown men were seen leaving the property. The Woodview CPF members approached the suspects who fled the scene in a white Hyundai Elantra which had no registration.
The members found the suspected vehicle on R102 and followed the vehicle, however, lost the vehicle in traffic while heading towards Verulam.

In another incident, six suspects entered a property in Craftwood and tied up two residents. They then ransacked the house. Five of the attackers did not wear any masks.
The ttackers escaped in a silver Mercedes Benz which has a missing tow bar cap. This vehicle was spotted by a Woodview CPF patroller as it sped past him leaving the scene.
The valuables taken from the properties include jewels, cellphones, televisions and cash. The Woodview CPF would like to thank all their patrollers, Phoenix SAPS and all responding security companies for their quick response and assistance during the incidents.
