Local Drug Action Committee hosted at Grandmore Primary School

The grade six and seven pupils of Grandmore Primary School being addressed at a special assembly by members of the organisations involved.

In an effort to address and highlight a number of issues facing the community of Phoenix, the local Drug Action Committee was hosted at Grandmore Primary School.

The campaign was a tremendous success with some pertinent issues being focused on. The committee is made up of representatives from the Department of Health, Department of Social Development, PLDAC, the Refocus and Upliftment Foundation and Safer Cities.

All stakeholders participated in discussions dealing with the scourge of abuse of substances and drugs, health care and crime in the community of Phoenix. Schools were offered assistance to curb these issues.
