Armed robbers steal victim’s firearm

A man who stopped on the R102 near Glen Anil robots to change his punctured tyre, was robbed of items to the value of R11, 500 by four armed men, last week. According to police reports, while changing the tyre, a white Audi stopped and four men approached him.

The victim thought the men were coming to help, however, one produced a firearm and threatened him.  The assailants searched the car and took his wallet, laptop and cash of R2,500.

They then searched him and took his CANIK 9mm pistol which he had in a holster under his shirt. The armed robbers then got into their vehicle and drove off.
