Karatekas shine at AFSKSA National Tournament

AFSKSA successfully hosted its national tournament at Shastri Park Hall Phoenix on Saturday. Apart from the 200 karatekas who participated, with dedication to the sport, the spectator capacity was amazing.

Karatekas from Pietermaritzburg, Gauteng and Durban competed in this spectacular event. The highlight of the day was the males and females senior event which left the crowd amazed.

In the male senior division, Nikiel Chetty was placed third, Sandile Mbhele came in second and Jason Deepchund was placed first for Kata and first for Kumite earning the title of ‘Grand Champion.’

AFSKSA has many dojos throughout Pietermaritzburg, Gauteng and Durban, all successfully headed by Kyoshi Selvan Govender.
