House break-in suspect arrested in Phoenix

A 22-year-old house break-in suspect who gained entry through a wendy house roof was arrested on Thursday.

According to Phoenix SAPS communications officer, Cpt Louise Naidoo, it is alleged by the complainant that he was at his place of residence in Grandmore when his brother-in-law informed him that their wendy house had been broken into and entry was gained through the roof.

The complainant and his brother-in-law gave chase after the suspects and managed to accost one of them. The suspect was then handed over to the police and was later charged with house break-in. The accused appeared in court on Monday.
