A 23-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly murdered his girlfriend in Mountview, Verulam. It is alleged that the couple were arguing over the suspect’s alleged infidelity, prompting him to stab her to death.

A family member of the suspect who lives in a separate building on the same property said the deceased and her boyfriend had been arguing all night.

She had allegedly accused him of cheating on her and infecting her and their two- month-old baby with HIV.  It is when she allegedly threatened to kill their child that the accused stabbed her.
