Verulam runner arrested for possession of drugs

The heroin capsules and pieces of rock cocaine recovered on the drug runner at a Verulam Taxi Rank.

A 25-year-old drug runner was nabbed by members of the Verulam Crime Prevention Unit at the Trenance Park Taxi Rank on Moss Street, Verulam on Thursday. This comes after numerous complaints from the public of drugs being sold from a taxi at the same rank.

Numerous police operations at the location were fruitless, however, after receiving information, Sgt Dylan Naicker set up the task team and the members searched the taxi which was parked off the whole day.
