Mountview Secondary’s debaters hailed

Mountview Secondary School’s talented debaters show off their trophies.

Mountview Secondary School has praised six of their debaters for attaining their KZN colours in Debating. The provincial tournament was held in July at Hillcrest High.

These pupils are Siyabonga Mtshali, Abigail Parbunath, Robert Mathenjwa , Thea Earnest ,Talia Earnest and Unam Mjoli. Thea Earnest was also ranked first in the junior category in KZN. 

Both junior and senior debate teams have also made it to the finals of the Phoenix Debating League to be held this Sunday at the Phoenix Youth Centre.

The school has also congratulated three of their pupils who also excelled at the World Scholars Cup hosted at Ridge Park College. Abigail Parbunath was awarded with the Da Vinci Award, Kimmel Naidoo for Collaborative Writing and Robert Mathenjwa for best debate team. These three pupils have qualified for the international round to be held in Cape Town.
