PVAC runs for cancer awareness

Female athletes from the Phoenix Villagers Athletic Club (PVAC) recently participated in the Totalsport’s Woman Race in association with PinkDrive held at Kings Park Athletics Track in Durban.

In association with PinkDrive, the Totalsports Women’s Race is committed to raising awareness and education around breast cancer as well as improving the services available to women across South Africa with either a 5km Run/Walk or 10km Run/Walk.

“While the ladies ran for a worthy cause, they also had to push their limits as they raced against other top athletes.  It was a woman against woman race for a worthy cause.  As we salute the PVAC ladies for their participation in creating awareness of Breast Cancer, let’s all join hands together and help one another in also creating awareness of living a healthy lifestyle which is paramount to the stressful ways we’ve become accustomed to living”,  said PVAC PRO, Hoosen Latiff.

Phoenix Villagers Athletic Club invites members of the community to join them for their weekly Saturday morning development run that starts  at the Raza Plaza, Mosque Parking Lot from 6.45am in winter and at 6.30am during warmer seasons. Distance covered is either 4kms or 5kms.
