Neglected grass patch poses a health risk

The area which has become a dumping ground.

Residents living in Hannaford Drive in Phoenix are up in arms and demand that the municipality take action about the overgrown grass area which has been neglected for months. Irate resident, Yasmin Mohamed, told the Cornubia and Phoenix Sun that the overgrown grass has been an ongoing issue.

“Our back yard looks like a jungle. On numerous occasions, we have found snakes and other dangerous creatures in the bush. Our children have no play area in as it is too dangerous for them,” said Mohamed.

Another resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “The whole area is untidy. People dump their garbage which is causing a serious health issue. We need the municipality to sort this out,” she said.
