The victims were found dead in their Centenary Park home.

Following the murders of Shoba Hariparsad and Prakash Singh, their son, Shanvir, appeared in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder on Wednesday. The case was postponed for seven days and Singh was remanded back into custody at Phoenix SAPS.

Shoba’s brother, Rajen Hariparsad, made the gruesome discovery of the bodies after several attempts to reach them had failed.
