Acting on information, members of Phoenix SAPS, proceeded to an address in Sunford where it was alleged that a television set was stolen in a house break-in and sold to a man. Upon arrival at Sunford, members questioned the man who admitted to having purchased the television for R200.

“The said male was immediately placed under arrest as it is impossible for a television set to be sold at that price. He had knowledge that the item was stolen,” said Phoenix SAPS communications officer, Cpt Louise Naidoo. The accused was arrested for receiving property suspected to be stolen and appeared in court on Monday.
